Diablo II: Classic Hardcore - Ladder!

Welcome back!

What is he talking about, Diablo 2 Classic HC? Yeah, it's true. I have started to play D2 again and not LoD, just simple classic hardcore. It's actually going quite smooth, been playing some in the afternoon and now I'm quite far up the Europe-ladder which is kinda ironic. Well it's ironic because I haven't played Classic for ages and it's quite far into the ladder reset, just proves how few players that exist which actually play D2: Classic HC.

I think most of you who have played D2 on hardcore mode actually associate this with PK's and TPPk etc, luckily Blizzard have been doing something good since they have removed this with the latest patch 1.13 which they applied at the same time as the ladder reset. Of course can you still PK but not in the abusive ways like before. Not only have they done that, they've also banned 340 000 accounts from Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 who have been using 3rd party software like maphack and other crapy hacks. Servers them right in my oppinion and Blizzard couldn't have been dealing with this later than they actually were... Sadly, but at least they did clean up the servers.

Well, enough talk about the patch and account removal, so how have I been doing on the ladder? Sadly I can't give you an updated ladder position since I got the Temporary restriction due to some lag and Join/Leave games a bit too fast, will of course add a picture as soon as I get back online. This is a bit old since I am lvl72 now (i think so at least) but here goes:

Was quite funny when I started this character, a guy who we played with in Act1 pretty much wanted to share his love for our group so he typed a long and nice sentence about how good it was and well, you can do the math on what happened instantly afterwards. See for yourself:

Perhaps anyone else is playing, Classic or LoD doesn't matter since I got characters on both and my mate Joppe is also playing on the LoD ladder (HC of course).

My account is: Darkzler and Joppes account is: Joppse, feel free to add any of us and we'll play some.

Weekly Tip!

Greetings!

I just couldn't resist posting these three music-streams/players. The first one is a mediaplayer hosted by Blizzard Entertainment, it is a web-based player that have all the music from SC, D1, D2 & LoD.

I think many of you out there associate some of the best gaming experiences ever made with any of the games listed above, at least
that's what I do. Who could resist the Terran music from StarCraft I?

The second stream is a winamp SHOUTcast Radio that only plays music from all sorts of RPG's, it certainly contain some lovely pieces from Baldurs Gate, Chrono Trigger, The Elders Scroll etc.

Third and last, another Winamp SHOUTcast Radio that actually have music from all sorts of games. Here you can find the Metal Gear Solid music, Final Fantasy, Halo and pretty much anything you can imagine when it comes to gaming.

A little something for all you who basicly love everything when it comes to gaming.

Welcome to dRx - Gaming !

Welcome !

The first blog will be about Blizzard Entertainments latest game in their collection which is currently in it's beta phase. I have myself been honored to participate in this beta and will deliver both live-stream from time to time but also pictures and information regarding the game.
StarCraft II: beta, this game clearly got the potential to become really big in the e-sport scene just like it's predecessor was and still is.

Even though it's still in the beta-phase there have been arranged some really large tournaments where some of them have included a symbolic prize rewards but also Clan Wars between some of the larger clans out there. Team Liquid (EU) which is one of the biggest clans out there had a CW against Team EG (USA) the 17th of april which resulted in a 2-3 loss for Team Liquid. Even though this was just a clan war it had over 9000 viewers at the stream hosted by Day[9], a famous StarCraft commentator.

Through Team Liquids homepage you can always, even the early and late hours, find someone who stream their games by Livestream or Ustream. My strongest recommendations from those who stream their play or people that report from various tournaments would be:
  •  Orb:  Protoss
  •  XeqtR:  Zerg
  •  PainUser:  Terran
  •  Gretorp:  Terran
  •  Day[9]:  Commentator
  •  Glhf.TV:  Commentator
